Who am I?

Who am I and how did I remember blogging?

... I am sorry for the spelling mistakes in advance 😅

I'm a "Roadie" who would like to write his own diary in some way, but I am not so jealous that I would not allow this reading to others. 😄 I have decided to write about my own activities in the record full of interesting stories; about training, racing, traveling and above all, about the attractions of this sport. I won't spoke strictly about cycling but I will only "type" my experiences, which are yes... mostly about cycling. 😅

So who am I ...? I am a 20 year old "roadie" who cycle for about 7 years. Some people think it's a lot, but for others, I'm completely "green". I am a car enthusiast, a fan of good food, animals, tattoos, technology, I prefer to travel, discover and sit with my friends with a cup of coffee or with a glass of wine. I am an optimist, constantly in the drive and I am living by a moto; "life is meant to live and not to survive". I am a member of an amateur cycling team "Cycling team Kranj" from the beginning of my career and a gymnasium graduate who "naively pauses" studies so that I will be able to get to the top of the cycling world and cycle with the big boys. The road is harder than I imagined. Because I was a hardworking young roadie and from the beginning of my career I was at the top of his generation in Slovenia, and later even in the world. I started in the seventh grade, after a few years of football, later basketball, and I also tried with athletics. I've always wanted to run because my father is a passionate runner and of course; "like a father like son," I started to run a little. Even now I rather put on running shoes and go out for a run than ride a bike in an ice cold weather... But I have chose my own way and I prefer a "toy" , which I nurture and devote more time to it than myself. My bike shows it's romance in ice cold or in a hellfire on a 100 gram carbon seat, which I would burn on the side of the road after 5 hours on the bike. In short, I started because of the company, because my classmate cycled and his training stories seemed to me like something special. Despite the fact that at that time my father was a triathlete, I've get more support from my mother in cycling since the beginning ...(I stopped athletics after 14 days ... and my father was probably a little more skeptical ... because whole training we were sitting at the side of the runway and just stretched, but I am too energetic to sit on the runway)... because the sport seemed interesting to her, but when my father saw that I was serious and I would like to ride more seriously, his complete 100% support was immediately received, which I still have and can't say how grateful am I that my parents support me and allow me to even pause studies for spinning my legs around the world.

As a beginner in the category of "youth A" I did not have any problems and finished my first race on ... noooot ... I woke up at 4:00 am, drove for 4 hours to Italy to race and did not even start because unfortunately the race directors did not allow to start with rims higher than 3 cm (for my first road bike I've get a teams Bianchi in a beautiful turquoise colour which is typical for the Bianchi which rings were higher than 30 mm) Only those members of the team who were a little more experienced were racing that day. Because they had been in the club for several years (and they were on spare wheels), and I was on my road bike for the first time just 14 days before the race. Then I was watching the race , which I did not understand, and I did not even know what was going on, and again I was driving back home for four hours. Interesting first race, even though I didn't race ... A week later I have cycled to 11th place in my "real" first race in Pirniče! Yeah man!!! In short, the first season in category youth A was beautiful and I met a lot of new friends, with whom I still keep in touch. Then I slowly passed all younger categories ... For the first time in U-17 I have ridden a stage race, in the Czech Republic, saw how to race day by day, and how tired a truly human can be. Then, in my second year, I've started to achieve more visible results in U-17 and began to rank in the top ten and even win. The transfer to juniors was quite difficult, but I immediately found myself and won the race in Monfalcone, Italy, where I also won the second year. After that victory they told me for the first time that I could be a good cyclist. I proved this especially in the second year in juniors where I have scored good classifications one after the other and with the victory in the stage race in "Upper Austria", the more prominent qualifications at the World Championship in Qatar in Doha, and the final victory in the scoring for the web site procyclinstats.com  I stood out. At that time, I became a member of the sports agency CORSO sports, where cyclists and executives really understand each other. After the perfect 2016, I've stepped into 2017 and as a first year in U-23 and ELITE category got a pretty strong kick in the head. I saw that the races were much harder and suddenly began to fight with the finish line and not for the victory. I was struggling to finish, but pretty much successful until I got a disease. During the whole season, I had an infectious mononucleosis, I was weak and tired... Several times during that season I afford couple days without a bike and ended the season early. After a long rest, I started training and preparing for the 2018 season, which was pretty good. It was an very important season for me, because I know that I am able to be better every season. Now I am already working hard for the 2019 season, which will be the best ever. = D

This is just a superficial presentation of myself, in advance I will publish my diaries, trainings, memories, reports from races, travels, pictures, videos, in short ... I WILL BE BLOGGING! :)
